The Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) is Canada’s national hazard communication standards system. Its primary goal is to protect workers in Canada from chemical hazards in the workplace by outlining worker education and site-specific training and communication via cautionary labelling and material safety data sheets.

WHMIS for PWABC
In this 20 minute, multi-modal course you will learn, the basics of WHMIS, the definition of hazards, WHMIS labels, safety data sheets, (SDS) and will gain an appreciation for WHMIS pictograms that form the key identifiers in hazard identification. A brief quiz is presented at the end of the course with the ability to review and retry with the objective of reaching 100%.
